LCR Employer Engagement and Social Value working group 26.09.24 3pm on TEAMS

Shally Sawhney and Sue-Temple-Fielding are leading on the Employer Engagement and Social Value working group.

 

The aim of the group is to bring together businesses and key stakeholders from across the LCR who are passionate about growing the number of opportunities for our residents across the LCR with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and/or additional support needs. 

These opportunities can include business talks, business visits, work experience placements, supported internship placements and paid employment opportunities through the concept of job carving.

 By participating in this subgroup, your organisation will have the opportunity to:

• Connect with other businesses that are passionate about supported employment
• Share your expertise and learn from others who are supporting people with SEND and/or additional support needs
• Make a positive impact by contributing to our goal to grow the number of supported internship and supported employment opportunities for our residents across the LCR with SEND and/or additional support needs

It is envisaged the frequency of the meetings to be once a term.
