08/06/2020- Coronavirus support schemes extended
The Chancellor has announced that the Self-Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS) has been extended and individuals will be able to claim a second grant in August 2020 worth 70% of their average monthly trading profits. The Chancellor has also provided more information about the extension of the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme. From August, employers will have to pay employer NICs and employer pension contributions for furloughed workers. In September and October, employers will have to pay 10% and 20% respectively of employees’ furloughed wages along with employer NICs and pension contributions.
